Scorpion & Sapphires: the two-record That Boy Hi Hat cut
Cover art for That Boy Hi Hat's "Scorpion & Sapphires" — Cumulative Web Inc.
Most singles have one recording. "Scorpion & Sapphires" has two — and the label is done pretending it doesn't. Both Spotify records are verified and live: one titled "Scorpion & Sapphires", one titled "Scorpions & Sapphires" — the single cut and the The Alternative Theory album cut, same spine, different pressings.
The record itself is the most menacing thing in the That Boy Hi Hat catalog: alternative rap pushed through a dystopian filter — nocturnal, cinematic, dangerous, seductive, mysterious, anthemic. Where "Diabolique" seduces and "Zooted Zone" detonates, "Scorpion & Sapphires" looms.
The honest record
The label's standing rule is verified or it didn't happen, and it applies to this page first. Here is what is on file and what isn't: the single carries ISRC QZDA72377310. Producer, studio, and release-date credits are not yet on file — they are being confirmed with the label and will be published when they are verified, not before. No MusicBrainz recording ID is on file for this track. What exists in full is the music itself, and it is not waiting on paperwork to be heard.
The sync profile
The label's sync catalog lists its scenes as fashion film, nighttime driving, and club scene; its lyrical themes are danger, luxury, and allure. Rights are direct clearance through Cumulative Web Inc. Both Spotify recordings are linked below — brief either one.
"Scorpion & Sapphires" is one of three That Boy Hi Hat singles — alongside "Diabolique" and "Zooted Zone" — selected for the label's November 2026 Discovery Mode campaign in Spotify for Artists.
